Notice - Hiatus from Posting and Playing RPGs

Hello, everyone, rpgfanboy is here after a very long 5 month hiatus from posting and a very long 9 month hiatus from playing RPGs. Are you wondering why I haven't played RPGs for 9 months? Well, first off, I want to let you guys know I haven't posted in 5 months because I have run out of ideas and have nothing to post since I shared the Trails of Cold Steel fun times with you fans. I have to come back to make an article to let you know I have a long hiatus.

Now with that out of the way, I'm going to tell you why I haven't played RPGs for 9 months. First off, I've been playing RPGs for a long time, mainly the ones that have the "Language" rating to indicate games with mild to moderate use of profanity. I liked playing the ones that have moderate use of profanity because of the "B" and the "S" word, but the RPGs that contain moderate use of cussing doesn't have the "F" word, unless the they have "Strong Language" to indicate games with explicit use of profanity, only on M-rated games. This is getting weird, so I'm just gonna go straight to the root of the problem.

I made a decision and I'm going to look for RPGs that do not have any profanity because it is for my safety. I hope you're reading this because I need someone to recommend a profanity-free RPG game that I can play and write a review on it.

Joe's Thoughts - Trails of Cold Steel Fun Times

Hello, everyone, are you wondering what happened recently since my PS4 is taken out to service? Well, you've come to the right place! After I subscribed to a 1 Teacher and 0 Student plan on GoAnimate for Schools, I have promised to show you my Trails of Cold Steel fun times. I know I promised that I'll show them to you, but it is official, I'm finally going to share them to you! It is also in honor of Trails of Cold Steel II being showcased on E3 2016.

Here are the characters of Class VII. You'll see they have reflected the charm from their game and have their jackets on until summertime. The girls' skirts are supposed to be a different color, but I guess I'll keep them that way because I can't change the color. Their looks are charming and a little bit off. I tried to make some of them accurate, but this is the best I can do.

First off, Emma's hairstyle on the forehead part looks perfect, but on the back, it's not braided, so look by her forhead. Alisa's hairstyle and blonde hair color look perfect; it has reflected her aspects and Dorkly's incarnation. Rean and Machias look charmingly perfect with their personality and hairstyle and have accurately reflected aspects from the game. I also tried to perfect Elliot's hair, but this is the best I can do. Finally, Fie and Millium's personality I done perfectly. They have perfect looks from the game and also reflected Dorkly's incarnaton.

I'm missing a few Class VII classmates because GoAnimate is lacking some stuff I need for the rest of the Class VII classmates, like plaid pants, a long ponytail and a couple of hip looking hairstyles.

What are Class VII holding is their ARCUS Unit, which is used for Quartz, Arts and calling friends.

I have the summer look for Class VII. They always wear their summer uniforms during summertime. In July of Trails of Cold Steel, they wear this. They may have switched to their summer uniforms, but their looks are still retained. What is missing are their weapons, which aren't in the school platform since they are deemed inappropriate.

The rest of Class VII are on a mission to find the Soulstone in the temple to awaken Rean, who entered a deep slumber. It is not in the game, but it is my idea.

Rean's sister, Elise Schwarzer is shown in this picture. All of her looks from the game have looked 100% accurate and her uniform reflects her charm. Back in Trails of Cold Steel, she has first been found in Heimdallr with the other girls from an All Girls School.

Speaking of All-Girls School, Elise and her friends are at a back of the school talking. Their looks are greatly fancy and I was happy to oblige.

Emma and Elliot are the two classmates that have the same weapon. I picked the two fancy staffs and imported them. Although they are different sizes, but they are worth being held by the two staff wielding classmates, or should I say "staff couples."

Trails of Cold Steel Dorkly Bits:

I have made a lot of videos based on Trails of Cold Steel. In my own case, I have Trails of Cold Steel Dorkly Bits. I call them "Dorkly Bits" because it's not infringing Dorkly's patented videos, it's style in making videos. It's not fair to show you all of my videos, so I'll give you three videos you'll like.

Bringing Trails of Cold Steel to HoverAnimation:

Since the announcement of HoverAnimation after GoAnimate upgrades to HTML5, they have realized that HoverAnimation is a carbon copy of GoAnimate and has been sued for copyright infringement. It has been revived and it's a video sharing website. I want to tell everyone that I'll be bringing my Trails of Cold Steel Dorkly Bits to HoverAnimation to be shared. I also have a special video about it. I forgot to put Emma's glasses on in that video, so I'll just share this one.

This has been sharing my Trails of Cold Steel fun times, folks. Thanks for reading! Be sure to watch Trails of Cold Steel II in action on E3 2016.

PS4 Memories - Rented PS4 Games

Since I first owned a PS4, I have rented my very first PS4 game and that is Destiny, a fun shooting game from the makers of Halo. Bungie Entertainment is the makers who made Halo and Destiny. It's a fun shooting game, but not when there are Darkness Zones to prevent you from respawning. Last year, Destiny gets bigger with the legendary journey by The Taken King. Typically, Destiny isn't the only game I rented.

GameFly starts offering PS4 games in November of 2013. So far, the PS4 games are charming and futuristic. I have a list of PS4 games that I rented so far, besides Destiny, RPG and non.

-Final Fantasy Type-0 HD
-Omega Quintet
-Mortal Kombat X
-Tales of Zestiria
-Sword Art Online: Lost Song
-Nights of Azure
-BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma EXTEND
-Dragon Age: Inquisition
-Overwatch
-Street Fighter V

These are the 10 PS4 games I rented so far and it reached a milestone. I have the last two games rented, but didn't play them because of the disc reading issues, so I won't be playing them for a while. In the meantime, I'll keep them.

PS4 Memories - Chatting with Friends

My PSN friends and I are chatting in a room where we talk about random stuff. It was a big room that welcomes users. It is one of the things I missed the most. On my PS4, we chatted and chatted until it's my bedtime. The weight of chatting helps me communicate with friends. Yeah, the better way to commnuicate with friends. No other tastes could beat that nowadays. Since the 3.50 MUSASHI update, the chat bubbles get bigger depending how many words or sentences, as well as the Friends list looked futuristic and clean.

After 3 years of ownership, chatting becomes a shooting star and have fell apart for a while. And now, I'm going to miss chatting with my friends until after a while. My friends also became shooting stars of mine, but not on other systems. The family has never been this apart for this long. This means I will no longer chat with anyone for a long time. I can still chat with my friends on PSVita, but it is hard to do and it'll never work out well. Or is it?

This one part goes for the next PS4 Memories article.

PS4 Memories - Gems of War

Gems of War is a half puzzle, half RPG game that allows you to fight enemies with puzzles. It's like Puzzle Quest, which is also half puzzle and half RPG, but better. The colored gems will allow you to build up magic for your troops, depending which troops have the specified mana color. In Gems of War, the object of the game is to play on a gem board and there are skulls. Match three or more skulls and your troop will attack your opponent's troops, one by one.

As you all know, Gems of War is an enjoyable puzzle game. It is better than some other puzzle game, like Candy Crush Saga for example. I play every day to earn more rewards. The more I play, the more rewards I get. There are kingdoms in the game to open up with money. The more kingdoms open, more money will be rewarded. Any kingdom will be your home kingdom and the income will be rewarded ahead of time, as well as a tribute rewards in Keys, Gold, Glory and Souls. Some can be stolen and it can be brought back in a revenge battle. If victor, your money will be recovered.

Now, I've been enjoying Gems of War a lot. Souls allow me to strengthen up my troops to win. But, I don't play to win, I play to have fun and it's a darndest of a puzzle RPG. I find Keys in some gem matches and they are needed to open chests to get various rewards, Troops, Souls, Gold and Traitstones. They are capable of unlocking my Troops' traits. Their traits harness the power within them. Getting a certain number will unlock them.

I'm currently on Lv. 22 and my play streak on Gems of War has been broken because of my PS4 being taken in for repairs or a replacement of a refurbished one until three weeks roughly. Suddenly, this article is making me sad.

Warning: This part of the article above is a tearjerker. Please do not read this if you are feeling sad.

PS4 Memories - Onigiri

Okay, so since the release of the MMORPG game, Onigiri, I went on ahead and downloaded it after realizing it is a fun game to play. The game was alright, I do have a taste in MMO games. There are some slow parts in Onigiri, though. New Japan sounds like a distinct place where it takes place. Don't get me started on their hair just because they are fluffy, Dorkly-wise. It is an alright MMO, overall. With every nook and cranny, Onigiri will be more enjoyable.

I was having trouble advancing through the story because the enemies are a tad stronger than my character's level, so I get back and train a little. Using Magatama is always important to carry when taking on missions. There are a few changes made to Onigiri; the story extended by the islands for example. You know, since Onigiri is big in Japan, it is very nighttime evident, like others. They say Onigiri is a Japanese masterpiece to enjoy since Warhammer. It is a fact on the part, but one part is my opinion. I've been livestreaming it to get attention to viewers.

Onigiri was used to be a PS4 exclusive, but now, it is also for the Xbox One. This doesn't make any sense! It was big in Japan because it is an RPG game! Sorry, I must have stormed off in the wrong direction too quickly. Dang it, almost had a heart attack there. Anyway, Onigiri is still available on PSN and you can get it anytime.

PS4 Memories - Skullgirls 2nd Encore

Last year, Skullgirls 2nd Encore has been released for the PS4. It is an ultimate version to Skullgirls that has extra single-player content, like fully voiced Story Mode, Challenge Mode, Trials, Survival Mode, Cross Play between all PlayStation systems and a platinum trophy set. I've been enjoying it so far! Story Mode with a full VO makes the game lively! Survival Mode is also fun! Players also enjoying it, too. It has great online play and netcode. Previous gen versions didn't have any of the 2nd Encore content and they are not going to be in them, even in DLC.

The PSVita version is finally out after 8 months of waiting since the PS4 release. It took snags of optimization and I'm also enjoying every second of it, like on the PS4 version! The PSVita version has 2D graphics and also a few glitches, like no double snap music, character names in the wrong position, unstable sound clips, PSN usernames in a wrong size and position and a trophy glitch. Fortunately, they are going to be fixed in the lobby patch. And speaking of the lobby patch, all consoles, including the Xbox 360 version are getting lobbies because we are sick of the old room holding two players. The lobbies are holding up to eight players and it is bigger.

After the lobby patch releases, North America is getting a physical run of the game. Digital ones had too much space, so some are excited for the physical copy. Frankly, I'm also excited for the physical copy. I think I'll get the PSVita one. Although I didn't do much on the PSVita version, but it is worth the wait.

PS4 Memories - Nights of Azure

Are you familiar with Gust's RPG, Nights of Azure? If not, then this will be my first article on my PS4 memories to kick things off. Yeah, Nights of Azure was a great game. The Half Demon named Arnice is the female protagonist of the game. She lives in the Curia's hotel with Simon. The favorite part of mine in Nights of Azure is when Lloyd became a retarded person and Arnice becomes froggish after reading that awkward note. Stuntman: Ignition and Instructor Neithardt became out of the topic nowadays. In the final chapter, the final boss was tough and I was able to finally get it over with. Little did I know, the Night fills with pandemonium until the guardian is slain.

Mainly, Arnice has a best female friend, known as Lilysse. Lilysse is Arnice's best friend who takes travels with her. The game uses a search time. When it reaches 0, the search ends automatically. Extending it will not be a problem, when it comes to Warriors games. Thus, it is a pretty great game that I would recommend to anyone with such cinematic scenes and funny moments. Those were the good times.

Best part in Nights of Azure is when the Nights fill the world and all that Blue Blood drip from enemies. Blood is what Arnice needs to get stronger via the shrine. The max level is 10. If you realized something from any Warriors game, you'll find the secrets of the game. Now I know all that awesomeness and awkwardness from any other retarded person.

There's also one fun part, after my shortcomings of Skullgirls 2nd Encore for the PSVita, I have thought of wanting Arnice and Lilysse to join Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax Ignition as DLC characters together; Arnice as a playable character and Lilysse as a support/Blast character. I have their document here. I have written Arnice's moveset that has her specials, impacts, Climax Arts, Trump Card and her Potential.

First off, let's mention Arnice's Trump Card, Moonlight Overdrive. Her Trump Card is a blue type, which temporarily enhances the character's personality and using it will allow her to call the moonlight given by her Servans to shine upon her, making it bearable to unleash combos.

Next up, Arnice's two Climax Arts. Her Climax Art for half-circle toward is Demon's Inferno, which allows her to transform into a demon and rain flames at her opponent, similar to Miyuki Shiba's Climax Art, Inferno. Next, Arnice's another Climax Art for half-circle away is Azure Dance of the Night, which allows her to rush in and unleash a flurry of sword attacks and end it with a bang with a flurry of flames, if connected with opponent. These Climax Arts give it a Marvel vs. Capcom 2 feel for players.

And finally, her best friend Lilysse is a non playable character. Similar to Alicia's support, Lilysse's neutral support allows her to zero in the battlefield with a bag of cupcake bombs, taking one out of the bag, while similar to Iriya's support, her toward support allows her to set up her table with any type of cupcake randomly, one to heal, one to increase defense rate and one to increase attack rate if she is on a support spot. Like Arnice's two Climax Arts, Lilysse's toward support also gives it a Marvel vs. Capcom 2 feel. If Lilysse gets on the Blast spot, she will do nothing but enhance the playable character's type of Blast chosen from Combo, Power and Escape (Mainly with Arnice to enhance all Blast types).

This concludes the first PS4 Memories post with an idea of a DLC character. Stay tuned for another.

PS4 Troubles

When I rented the two games and have came in the mail yesterday after coming back from watching The Angry Birds Movie at my local movie theater, I'm having an issue with my PS4. Yeah, disc reading is having trouble working well. I've came across a big roadblock. So I take my PS4 in for repairs or a replacement of a refurbished one after I owned it for 3 years. This means I will no longer stream my PS4 games and share my gameplay for a while. The subsequent issue is about the disc issues. I don't know how this happened, and now, I'm in trouble because of it!

You see, I've owned a PS4 for 3 years until the disc reading issues happened. It was out of warranty, so I had to pay a service fee of $150. The repairs or a replacement of a refurbished one will come in 3 weeks. In the meantime, since GameFly doesn't have any late fees and due dates, I'm going to keep my rented games. I still have my PS3 and I can play some games on it as I ordered one yesterday. Plus, I was finally able to buy Child of Light on the PS3. It was a great RPG with such a Grandia-esque action. Speaking of, there has not been a new Grandia game in the works for years since Grandia III for the PS2.

Being said, I'll be writing a blog about PS4 memories that associate games for the PS4, RPG and non and other stuff I had.

Final Fantasy XV Rundown

Here we go, it is time for yet another rundown. The rundown is about Final Fantasy XV. As you all know, since 2013, Final Fantasy XV has a development started after its temporary name changed. During the development phase, Square Enix puts in the world where FFXV will take place. Regarding its battle system, it started out small, like a command-based RPG.

Since the previous years, Final Fantasy XV enters the semi-final stages of developement, which is implementing the structures of the world, adding elements to the battle system and finding the characters to the game. To do that, developers use certain bodies for characters and clothes were implemented by the wardrobe designer. The cinematic RPG will use unique moves and actions to better reflect the understanding of the story.

Since Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, there is a demo that you can get for buying the game, and the demo is Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae to take place in the Duscae region. At the beginning of this year, the game entered a final stage of development before its release. Over the years, the game grew with lots of has beens in RPG feels, the world's texture and the characters' feel. So far, Final Fantasy XV now has a main character named Noctis and it is an action RPG game at the end of the development stage.

Inspired by Kingdom Hearts, this action RPG is the new generation of the Final Fantasy series to have a deep storyline. After ending the development stage, a platinum demo version has been released and you can feel free to download it anytime. So far, a lot has changed since the time it was announced and it is now finally done being developed after 3 years.

This concludes the rundown for Final Fantasy XV, and you can get it on November 30, 2016. Make sure you pre-order it!

The sequel to Bravely Default known as Bravely Second has a demo version titled The Ballad of the Three Cavaliers just released for the Nintendo 3DS. As you all know, Bravely Second: End Layer is a direct sequel to the first game of the Bravely series. The demo version is about the Three Cavaliers on a short journey to gather the asterisks and they are supported by the one woman named Magnolia Arch, in honor of Her Holliness, Agnes Oblige. Delve deeper with the Three Cavaliers and learn the aspects of the demo as playing more will earn you more rewards for the full game to release April 15.

Joe's Thoughts - RPG Fun Times in GoAnimate

Ever since I signed up for GoAnimate for Schools, I just realized that making characters from RPG games and making videos that star RPG characters got me through some fun times. It's obviously because I'm a huge fan of RPGs who starts making videos that starred the characters of them, so it's only the best when I made videos that star RPG characters on GoAnimate for Schools. I bet the others are working on their own fun times from making characters from TV shows and video games. So, are you wondering what fun times that got me into times in playing RPGs? Well, here they are.

This is Class Zero in a Comedy World form doing a presentation in Class Zero's Opening Ceremony and I made the original 12 classmates from scratch, like I did in the Business Friendly theme. Pretty cool, huh? It was one of the RPG fun times that got me through times in playing RPG games. There were my RPG mementos to remind me of the game. It was ever since I didn't realize JRPGs are no longer having a support for the Xbox consoles. Moving on, Class Zero looks refreshing in Comedy World. Their appearances match their hairstyles, clothes and aspects from Type-0.

Sice and Seven look distinguished in their silver hair and Nine's a little different from the game and subsequently his aspects. Not to mention Cinque's pigtails with a distinctive touch and color to match her aspects and appearance from the game. The problem is, I didn't make Nine's skin color a bit darker while Queen's skin is lighter, but Deuce's skin is a little darker than Queen's. Fortunately, Nine's skin color will be a little dark while Deuce's skin color will be the same as Queen's if I subscribe.

Next, they are Alisa Reinford and Laura S. Arseid in a Comedy World animation dancing at the stage all night. I also made them from scratch, along with their parents like I did with Class Zero. These are the females from Trails of Cold Steel that have heart and friendship. From their red uniforms and different colored skirts, they are from Class VII. Sometimes, it feels like the mementos were boxed in with good memories and fun times. I know chances are, these two girls have something in common in Comedy World, basically, but this is even adequately a creative work. So how are these two support Blinky, Inky, Pinky and Clyde? Can they join Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax Ignition to the mix?

Last but not least, Irina Reinford and Victor S. Arseid are both at a Comedy World-style meeting about Class Zero's ceremony. They are Alisa and Laura's parents from their hometown. These fun times reminded me of the one from Pac-Man's Pac Wedding because of the disco and party. The Pac of Honor, or the Zero of Honor rocks the ceremony. In other words, these two will make such a great meeting. The moral of the fun times is, if you make RPG characters, don't get too cocky about them, or you'll wound up playing house.

Right now, I can't publish my videos on YouTube because I'm in a 14 day free trial subscription until I subscribed to a one year plan that costs $60. In the meantime, if you have a PayPal account, just go to the PayPal website, enter my email address (In Contact Us) and send me $60, the money I need to subscribe to a plan. Once I have, I'll be working on a Trails of Cold Steel fun time and maybe a special.

Rest in Peace, Old GoAnimate

After January 4, 2016, HTML5 has finally come to GoAnimate. That means Comedy World and all other non-business themes are removed. Over the past years, those themes were best for the whole platform, but now, they are retired because of the HTML5 meteor hits the world of the old platform, ridding non-business themes. However, all business-exclusive themes were fine. I'm so going to miss the old platform so darn much. The good news is, GoAnimate for Schools is still there with the non-business themes, but not going to sign up for it because it's limited to not to have violent assets. This means I'll be leaving the platform and moving to the alternative platform that I heard about.

The alternative platform I'm referring to is "HoverAnimation." That was the new GoAnimate alternative that has all non-business themes, old and new sound effects, etc. It was supposed to release tonight, but because of the delay, the site will launch in April instead. Though there may be no catch in HoverAnimation, the best part is, I'll be making more CollegeHumor and Dorkly-style videos on it. After its launch, I have another special video for you to watch. The special video will be a Dorkly one.

If you're not familiar with CollegeHumor, I can explain it to you. CollegeHumor is a comedy-based video collection that has animation, sketches, and other categories. CollegeHumor used to be funny with fun videos like Dinosaur Office, Kim Jong Un, Furry Force, Batman, Jake and Amir and other fun videos, but now, CollegeHumor is no longer funny because of the feminist propaganda and the SJW videos. Especially the bears video that has comments disabled.

As for Dorkly, it's similar to CollegeHumor as it is a part of the CH Media, but has animations that spoof video games and a special one, Pokemon Rusty, a special about Rusty, a Pokemon Trainer who is the very worst and forced to help out with the deli instead of trying to be the very best trainer. There are only 15 episodes and won't be any more.

Now that HTML5 is here, I'll be leaving GoAnimate and moving to HoverAnimation. In the mean time, I still have a lot of ideas to work on and a special similar to Pokemon Rusty if HoverAnimation launches in April. It was nice knowing you, old friend. Ciao and I'll never forget you.

UPDATE:

Just want to update this post to sadly say that HoverAnimation is never happening because of copyright infringement to GoAnimate. How? The upcoming site ingringes all of GoAnimate's assets and subsequently its patent. And now, most people are angry because of it. Sorry, everyone. You can still go to the school platform, which has all non-business themes, until HTML5 hits it next year.

Xenoblade Chronicles X - review

When it comes to Monolith Soft's popular RPGs, the company itself made progress well with Nintendo. And Monolith Soft is a company that did Project X Zone and the Xenoblade series. There was something going on with the company, but no one will ever know. Since the very first Xenoblade Chronicles released for the Wii, Nintendo planned to enter a new generation of gaming by developing the next system, the "Wii U." There is a game for the Wii U that is a reboot to the series. Are you wondering what the object of this game is? Well, read the review!

If you're not familiar with the series, then I can clearly explain to what it is. Xenoblade Chronicles X is a reboot to the game that has a different story and characters that are different from the original Xenoblade Chronicles. In fact, it's Monolith Soft's RPG game with different plots.

Welcome to Mira:

Mira, a lush planet that is calm and serene, but with the war, the whole planet was rocked by it, only to see the new plot of the story. Mira has people from Earth with their puppet bodies. The planet has a city at the beginning of the region, NLA, also known as New Los Angeles, a home to the White Whale. The waged war ignites the passion of Mira's soul over the years. Since the war, the planet becomes cultural and famous. Its famed NLA became popular for years because of the Lifehold meter on top of the tower. The Lifehold meter represents their lives. If that meter reaches 0, they will die on the outside, until the Lifehold Core is working and everyone is set free from their deaths, not worrying about dying.

Being a BLADE Employee:

BLADE is an organization that adventurers work and meet. The organization name is actually an acronym. If you're a BLADE, you can partake on missions and side quests. Commander Vandham, the co worker of BLADE is in charge of keeping the BLADE members on track in missions. Becoming a BLADE is just a start at the beginning of the game. If your BLADE level arises, make sure you speak to Elenora by the console in New LA. She will give you improvements to your home and the opportunty to choose what work to increase its level on.

Divisions:

Xenoblade Chronicles X uses Divisions that represent their working, There are eight of them in existance. Here's the list.

Pathfinders - Capable of installing probe datas that expand BLADE's info network.

Interceptors - Capable of protecting the people of New LA from threats that spread thoughout the world.

Harriers - In charge of eliminating threats from Mira's most dangerous threats that will make the city under attack.

Reclaimers - Their task is to locate and retrieve pieces of wreckage from the White Whale.

Curators - Capable of being charged with scouting unexplored territories and gathering materials found there on any region.

Prospectors - They focus on using FrontierNav to mine for minerals and resources.

Outfitters - Capable of helping the arms manufacturers to develop new weapons and equipment.

Mediators - Capable of solving problems that arise between residents of New LA.

Those are the Divisions above. You can choose any Division that you're comfortable with. If you're not comfortable with the Division you're with, you can change to a different one at the console in the BLADE Barracks, your home, but it costs money.

Useing the FrontierNav:

The FrontierNav is a handheld device. Your game pad of your Wii U will be your FrontierNav if you change your display by touching the third picture of your pad, or via options. When using the FrontierNav, you can put in put probes in the data probes you installed. With it, you can even fast travel to any location. The symbol on the hexagons means you can fast travel to a location. Every one of them starts out with a basic probe, but putting any type of probe makes it interesting. More probes other than basic installed will come across a combo line. To install a probe, go outside of the city and look for a red light that sticks out. If you see that red line sticking out, the data probe is nearby. Press the A button when near one and press A repeatedly until the gauge reaches at 100%. That also goes with other things, like wreckages from the White Whale and resources. Depending on the level, you can be able to examine them.

Creating Your Character:

At the start of the game, you can create your character. It allows you to give your character a hairstyle, voice, eyes, body and other various methods. After creating a character, you can name a character because a character you created needs a name.

The Gameplay:

Since Xenoblade Chronicles X is a reboot, you don't have to play the original one because the game has its different set of characters and plots. However, the gameplay is the same as the previous one, but this time, it has four party members. There are collectibles scattered around the world. The combat system is the same, but with a different quality. Money is earned by killing enemies and using FrontierNav. When nearby an enemy, press the R button to target an enemy and choose the big button in the middle to draw your weapon or any Art to start the battle. There are two types of attacks; ranged attacks and melee attacks.

There's a real time system that has the night and day system. This real time system changes the weather on certain times. The clock goes faster than our real time. For example, if the time reaches at 19:00, it's night time in the game. Some of the time's weather have effects, like the aurora skies, which can temporarily give your party evasion rate.
.
During battle, the attacks were itself, but to make an attack interesting, you can choose any of the Arts. They are special attacks. When used, it enters a cooldown system. When finished, you can use it again. Some can cost TP, known as Tension Points and Tension Gauge can be filled by fighting and choosing an Art that correspond in a Soul Voice. A Soul Voice can be triggered when a certain action is done, like when you activate an aura, someone will say anything about it. There are two types of attacks; ranged attacks and melee attacks. Your ranged and melee weapons are cycled with the Y button. When the white ring appeared in the big circle, quickly press the B button. If have, your Morale Level your increase by one as it can carry up to 3 levels.

After meeting certain conditions during the progress of the story, you can go into Overdrive. It can be activated by going to a big button with a picture of a cog in the middle. It requires 3,000 TP. During that state, the Overdrive ignites the arts and the cooldown goes faster than usual. The Overdrive lasts for a limited time, and you can extend the duration by choosing a buff-type Art, depending on the count. Use as many Arts as many as you can until the timer runs out.

The game uses mechs, known as Skells. They are the alien mechs that uses different types of Arts. They use GP, Gravity Points and their Overdrive system is different from the ground gear version. Like the ground gear, the Skell's Overdrive uses 3,000 GP, but possesses Overdrive rings on the back of the Skells.

There's a possibility of using a Skell, you have to meet up with Commander Vandham and tell him that you need a Skell license. To get one, you need to clear eight exams. If all eight exams were cleared, you got a Skell license! With the Skell, you are capable of defeating big enemies well, but depending on the your current level lower than the enemies, it will get tough. But if you keep levelling up, things will get less tough. Also, if you beat the mission, your Skell will be capable of flying after giving it a flight module.

You need to be careful to not letting your Skell reach 0 of your health, or it will be wrecked and you have to get to the BLADE Barracks console to replace it. The insurance has a limit, so if you can't have any more Skell insurances, you have no choice but to abandon it, or salvage it, with either money or a salvage ticket. You can even buy Skells and its gear at a shop in New LA, but they are not cheap, well some. The gear on Skells carries Arts that are different from the ground Arts

Jobs:

Your character can choose any job while others don't. You can choose a class at the Party menu. Once your rank reaches lv. 10, a new job is unlocked. The others have up to lv. 20, and each has one job. If a rank arises, new Arts and skills will be learned. You can master all jobs, too.

Online:

In case you didn't noticed, Xenoblade Chronicles X has a little bit of MMORPG goodness because of online. You meet up with other BLADEs and be given the support from any Division. Nintendo Network is needed to play online with other people. During the state, they are squad missions that are automatically given. Rewards are given for completing the mission. Although it may be a little fun, but helping each other won't be a problem. If disconnected, some features will not be available offline.

The Conclusion:

Xenoblade Chronicles X is a great game for MMO fans and non. Just because the game has MMO elements doesn't make it more of an MMORPG. The story and the plot have great quality. Although it wasn't a sequel, but a reboot, I would recommend this to anyone. If you not familiar with this game, you can play the previous one if you wish.

I give Xenoblade Chronicles X a 9.0. It was hard on that part, but one of Nintendo's RPGs developed by Monolith Soft to hold me off.
