On the fourth week of March, I started listening to BBTAG music while watching Skullgirls Slapfest as a test. Looking solely at multiple universes, it has turned out well enough for me to confirm it and to spice up the ongoing Skullgirls launch party. This is no doubt a big upgrade from the main BlazBlue games as an occasion for freeing the game from Mike Z's hands with a big to heck with you to that disgusting sexual harasser of a head and playing Justice Sword during Annie's tutorial and upon her entrance would be a cherry on top, but not as disgusting as pedophiles; they are the most disgusting ones when it comes to the safety of children. But there's something I learned from this.
Let's go over and talk about what has not been getting up to my standards to contradict my experience in listening to BBTAG music; the RWBY themes. They fit well with the characters and canon solo matches, but there's one flaw that contradicts this. Since RWBY is a blockbuster hit animated series by Rooster Teeth where the themes are from, they don't use a timeless flow that the other universes' themes use despite the fact that they fit well with the characters and canon 1v1s.
Effective immediately, along with one of the characters already unassigned from a RWBY character theme and assigned to a non-RWBY theme, I made a decison to sunset the RWBY themes. This means I am unassigning another character from a RWBY character theme and assigning them to a non-RWBY theme and I will no longer play a RWBY theme during a canon solo match. Why I am making this decision is because they just aren't substantial enough to justify a theme despite fitting well with the characters and canon solo matches and they don't meet up to my standards.
Not only I will be assigning the character to a non-RWBY theme. I will also be making final changes to the chart. Those changes will be final for the BBTAG 2.0 period and further changes will be made when the BBTAG 3.0 Character Pack is confirmed. A wish list for it will be written in the near future. I will announce a new non-RWBY theme for that character and the final changes made to the other sections when the next Season 1 Pass character is announced because I don't want to announce things out of the blue, so it's best to wait a little longer.
The things that made BBTAG music much more unprecedented than with the music of the mainline BlazBlue games are the BlazBlue themes in BBTAG playing differently because characters from P4A, UNI and the EX universes are in it and the fact that I changed how I have my trios to having a character assigned to a BlazBlue theme, a character assigned to a P4A theme and a character assigned to a UNI theme to create BBTAG Trinities, trios that have one character assigned to a BlazBlue theme, one assigned to a Persona 4 Arena theme and one assigned to an Under Night In-Birth theme.
That said, nothing beats BBTAG music because it's a magical team-based fighting game that has characters from multiple universes since Team Sonic Racing. I am committed to playing and spectating Skullgirls on both PS4 and Steam while playing BBTAG music in my soundtrack without a single RWBY theme going forward. I will continue supporting themes from BlazBlue, P4A, UNI and EX universes going forward, including Active Angel on Umbrella's entrance and on Boardwalk. Beyond Active Angel, it's only a matter of time before the rest of the Season 1 Pass characters get announced and officially released. Here's to a fresher soundtrack. Also, here are some hints to what I am working on behind the scenes to celebrate the ongoing Skullgirls launch party and the shift to BBTAG music.
"With an orchestra inside him, Big Band is a bag full of musical instruments and lodestones created in the Anti-Skullgirl Labs so big that he can't be missed. His power of music and magnetism has a murderous affair in New Meridian."
"While Annie is not the Sealed-Weapon Izayoi and her sword is not an Azure Grimoire, she bears the power of her blade within the Heavens. With it, she can purify evil in the name of justice for evil can't escape heavenly justice.""Filled with cartoony gadgets, Peacock is all about cartoon violence. She is all that to be a looney yet dangerous circus of violence created by the Doctor in Lab 8."
"Every Commander of an elite military force is basically brilliant, but Parasoul is the most brilliant Commander of the Canopy Kingdom's elite military force that executes military missions with her Egret soldiers in accordance with the NMPD. She is ready to lay down the law with her ice-fueled umbrella and execute away until her bright little sister sides with her."
"All school girls are charming in their traditional uniform, but Filia is spirited and the most charming of them all in her school in Maplecrest. Despite having a living raging demon of destruction in her hair and not facing her Shadow self to earn her Persona, she is enamored by the glory of the morning sun."
"Double is a shapeshifting Void from her cozy domain below the Catacombs that transforms into anyone. One of the most egregious things being that of harnessing the Hollow Night's power."
"Squigly may not be overwhelming, but she wields the power of her dragon buddy. Despite not being a demon, she is all that to bear the infinite power of Dark Eco and can still sing in the opera."
"An In-Birth Cerebella may not be, but as a Medici muscle, she is into punching and grabbing her opponents with giant living arms. Her forceful circus act wows the crowd tonight and makes her senpai that is the son of a patriarch of a crime syndicate in New Meridian proud."
