Tales of Xillia is awesome!

Yesterday, I've finally started Tales of Xillia and it's too darn awesome! :D On that part, I beat some of the bosses and on that part, I've beaten Jiao. :D Tomorrow or sooner, I've planned to write a review about Tales of Xillia. More importantly, I can't wait until next year for Tales of Xillia 2 and it'll be more awesome. Plus, we have a new protagonist named Ludger Kresnik. :D

Tales of Xillia Rundown

In today's rundown about Tales of Xillia, you been watching NettoSaito, Nuke, idiotman, onionfabre, massive_damage and KasumiBlue enjoy their way to the awesomeness of Tales of Xillia. Because of that, I'm gonna give them a job well done. Since I'm getting it, I'm gonna join up the fun while giving you a rundown about the latest of the Tales series. Tales of Xillia is the latest Tales series by Namco Bandai Games that is completely different than other Tales games and it's on PS3. When Xillia was first announced was back in 2011 and it's celebrating the 15th anniversary.

As you may know, Tales of Xillia has 2 protagonists. One's a male protagonist and one's a female protagonist. Their names are Jude Mathis and Milla Maxwell. Both of their stories has the same cutscenes, but has different has-beens. The combat system has a Link Arte gauge that unlocks the raw energy of Link Artes. They are Artes that two characters combine and make an Arte, consuming the milestone parts of the gauge. As you may or may not know, Xillia has an Over Limit system that can be turned on when the Link Arte gauge is full. Overall, it works like the Beast Awakening system from the .hack//G.U. series. Like Tales of Graces f's CC (Combo Counter) system, Tales of Xillia has an AC (Assault Counter) system and Artes and attacks can deplete it. The setting for Tales of Xillia is Rieze Maxia, a vast land that spirits and humans enjoy and join together for a harmony of peace.

Unlike other games, when leveling up, GP (Growth Points) is earned. To spend GP, use the Lilium Orb menu. It has a form of a "spider web". Each of the web has nodes and it offers max strength, max defense, max HP, max TP and more. Tales of Xillia has a cast of 6 characters and boss battles. Since I'm getting Tales of Xillia, I'll conclude this amazing rundown.

Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance review

Many years ago, this is an RPG game that hits store shelves and the first game for the PS2 is made by Squaresoft. The name of this game is called Kingdom Hearts. It's a crossover with Disney characters for obvious fun. As of September 10, 2013, Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix hits the shelves. Not only Tales of Xillia is coming to my mailbox soon, I have a review about the latest Kingdom Hearts game for the 3DS, Dream Drop Distance.

The Gameplay:

As you may experience it, you can play as Sora and Riku on separate stories. Upon entering a world, you start a dive to the world. However, you need to meet certain conditions to open the gate. On the left side of Sora and Riku's portrait is the Drop Gauge. The Drop Gauge represents as a time limit on every switch. Once the Drop Gauge reaches 0, the Bonus Time starts. Once the Bonus Time is up, you automatically drop to the other character. If you want to switch now, you can press the Start button and touch the DROP button in the bottom of the touch screen. On the Drop results screen, you see bonuses with a DP cost. You need enough DP to claim bonuses. All bonuses' effects scale with your level and if you have left over DP, you can convert it to Munny (Parody word of money). To earn DP, enemies drop Droplets.

On your party, you can bring Spirits and Nightmares or good Dream Eaters with you. Dream Eaters are creatures that can eat someone's dream. To make Dream Eaters, go to the menu and choose Spirits. There are two ways to create your Dream Eaters, you can start from scratch or you can use recipes to create one. Once created a Dream Eater, you can touch the its silhouette to give it some TLC. TLC stands for Tender Loving Care. To add it to your party, go to Change Party and select up to 2 Dream Eaters in your party and 1 spirit for reserved. All Spirits have a Link Gauge. If you and a Spirit attack together, the LINK word flashes. To link with a Spirit, you can hold the L and R buttons at a same time and press X or B or touch their portrait. To link up with 2 Spirits, you can hold the L and R buttons at a same time and press A or touch the symbol between them. All worlds based on Disney has a boss. To beat a world, the boss must be beaten.

On the Command Deck menu, you are able to make a command list from scratch. You may earn a deck slot upon defeating the boss. If you're having trouble beating the boss, it's a good idea to level up some more. All worlds had a Reality Shift. To perform a Reality Shift, press the X and A buttons simultaneously or touch the 3 chevrons facing down. Dream Drop Distance has a magic gymnast feature. To perform one, dash to a wall and the protagonists' body flashes pink. There are other things to try out. On the gameplay part, you see the command list on the lower left corner. To use one of the magics and items, press the X button. However, you can't use it consecutively because they can charge until it's ready to use. Some took a long time to charge.

Pros:

Making a command list is very creative, Spirits are the best thing to be in your party.

Cons:

The Drop Gauge works like a time limit, during boss battles, you are able to drop and the boss' HP starts back.

Since we are getting Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix and the Xbox One and PS4 game Kingdom Hearts III, I'll give Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance a 7.0 for good.

Tales of Xillia is finally approaching!

Guess what, RPG fans and readers? I've finally get to play Tales of Xillia! I know I mentioned that before, but I know the release date for Tales of Xillia is August 6, 2013, which is a long time ago. You know what will be great? Tales of Xillia 2 is going to be released next year. As soon as Saturday or Monday comes, I'm gonna wait for the mailman to come, get out of the house, pick it up from the mailbox, get back in the house to enjoy playing it, write a review about it and plus, make my partner Netto very proud! Even since he was the first one to get it from GameStop. I'm amazed on that. Watch me, Netto, as you bare witness that I'm gonna enjoy Tales of Xillia! Just like I've enjoyed the .hack//G.U. series since both games are directly related to each other because of the things below.

-Awesome combat experience.
-Beast Awakening works like Tales of Xillia's Over Limit.
-Pressing the triangle button to open the menu during battle.
-Double Trigger feels like the Link Artes Chain feature, but better.

And once I've beaten it, I'm gonna do my wish story for .hack//Xillia Vol 2 - Retromingence. However, it's going to be on Capcom-Unity because I recall Jochan's words. He said If I'm supporting a game, it means I'm helping someone support it. Otherwise, I'm wishing it. He also said that it's a bad idea to talk about wanting a game to wish to be announced here. ShimpDino, I feel your love on your wishlist for your vs. Capcom game idea. Nuke, I recall that you loved to play Tales games. And Hellcat, you and Erica are having a good time because of the women with the biggest breasts in the world, courtesy of Litchi from BlazBlue. But hey, Xillia is awesome. As my present, I have a gameplay video of Tales of Xillia.

Mario & Luigi: Dream Team and Kingdom Hearts 3D

Lately, I rented Mario & Luigi: Dream Team and Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance and they are both awesome RPG games. On Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, I've beaten Antasma and Bowser for good. On Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, I've beaten a couple of levels with both Sora and Riku. Soon, I've planned to write a review about the next game I'm still playing.

Tales of Xillia rant + Gameplay video

Before I give you the gameplay video, I have a long rant about wanting and getting Tales of Xillia. As of August 6, 2013, Xillia hits the shelves and it's been out. I plan to buy it, but it costs a lot of money, so I'm gonna rent it from GameFly first. However, it's been one month and 2 weeks and I never played it before. In the special post of the RPG Game Room, you been watching NettoSaito, Nuke, massive_damage, KasumiBlue, idiotman and onionfabre enjoying their butts off on Tales of Xillia. Since they have it before me, I'm gonna give them a pass for that. I just realized something amiss. I'm not really the only one who never played it and discovery complete. How will the other users enjoy it? And what user who should decrease my anxiety for Tales of Xillia? The one thing I personally hate was Low availability games including Tales of Xillia. They have a 25-49 likelihood. So I decided to play something else.

Now here's a gameplay video as a present.

Mario & Luigi: Dream Team review

In a several years ago, a regular DS game called Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story finally hits store shelves in the west. As Nintendo's hard working pays off, they developed a first Mario & Luigi RPG game for the 3DS, Dream Team. Do you think Nintendo's hard working was paid off? Let's check out the review of the first 3DS game of the series Mario & Luigi RPG game, Dream Team!

Welcome to Pi'illo Island:

Pi'illo Island, a place where Pi'illo folks live peacefully. They are folks that can give joy to the island. Mario, Luigi and others are enjoying their vacation. However, peace is not going to last long because all the Pi'illos were in a nightmare chunk. The one who's responsible of putting them into a chunk named Antasma, the Bat King. Antasma stores the Pi'illos into the nightmare chunk by crushing the Dark Stone, causing the nightmare chunks to rain directly right at them. Then he joins forces with Bowser to take the Dream Stone when Peach was kidnapped. Now the Mario Bros. Mario and Luigi must look for the Dream Stone and defeat Bowser and Antasma once and for all!

Badges:

They are items that come in two. Each of the badges come in two. The first end is held by Luigi while the second end is held by Mario. When putting together badges, you can make as many combos as you can. During combat, you see the Badge meter on the touch screen. You can fill the meter up by attacking the enemy by the ranks, like OK, Good!, Great!! and Excellent!! Each Bros. has a meter fill by side. Once the meter is filled up all the way, a combo badge appears on the touch screen. You can activate the badge by touch the badge. Take Luigi's Mush Badge and Mario's Master Badge for example. It restores 50% of each Bros. HP. To get more badges, you need money to buy badges. You can earn money by looking for them in the field screen and the battle screen.

The Gameplay:

The gameplay comes in 2 types of worlds. In the Real World, the field screen is in 3D. During combat, Mario and Luigi enter together. Their skills are called Bros. Attacks. In the Dream World, the field screen is in 2D. During combat Mario has a minion of Luigis in his possession and it has hordes of enemies. That is called Luiginoids. You see Luigi sleeping in the bottom screen.

To learn Bros. Attacks and Luiginary Attacks, you need to find all 10 Attack Pieces on each area. They require a certain amount of BP. On each area in the Real World, look out for pillows scattered in the world. They represent Pi'illos are trapped in the chunk. Can you rescue them all?

The combat system has every basics from the previous games of the series. To enter combat, Mario or Luigi touch the enemy in any way. For entering the battle with an instant attack, Mario or Luigi uses a jump attack or a hammer. The battle screen has few options. Jump, Hammer, Bros. Attack/Luiginary, Item and Flee. Press the A button for Mario and press the B button for Luigi. On the Jump option, time their jumps for Excellent!! for better results. On the Hammer option, wait until the hammer flashes for Excellent!! for better results. In the Dream World, Luiginoids are in Mario's possession. Bigger holds on Luiginary Attacks does more damage. Bros. Attacks has a timing ability in the Real World. On both worlds, you can dodge the enemy's attacks by pressing their button. Look out for the enemy's tells so you won't take any damage. Also, you can counterattack enemies by looking for a chance to counterattack. A hammer would be great. Be careful, if you fail to counterattack, then you'll take damage.

In some parts in the Dream World, Luigi grows giant for a Giant Battle. A stylus is required for the battle. It has all those features and a finishing move. It only works when the boss' HP is critically low. In Giant Battles, there's no Easy Mode, so you just have to keep trying until you finally win.

In boss battles, if you're losing, it's a great idea to equip some gear that increases your stats. Not only equipping gear increases your stats, leveling up increases your stats. Once you level up, their stats increases but Stache. On the results screen, you see the Bros.' flagpole on their stand. The flag goes up as they gain EXP. If the flag part reaches to the top, the top part of the flagpole lights up. It means the Mario Bros. gained a level. Each of the Bros. have 6 stats HP, BP, POW, DEF, Speed and Stache. You can choose anyone of the stats of your choice. Since Stache won't increase when leveling up, you can choose to increase Stache.

After certain levels each, the Mario Bros. earn a rank. When earning a rank, you can choose one of the rewards on the bottom screen. However, there's a limit to it, so you can't choose them all. Each has 5 types of ranks, like Mushroom, Shell, Flower, Star and Rainbow.

Once their HP reaches 0, the game is over. If you're having trouble beating a boss, it's a great idea to go to Easy Mode for revenge. During Easy Mode, Mario and Luigi are stronger and they can take less damage. The Hints option allows you tips on how to defeat the boss when starting a battle over.

If one of the Bros. HP reaches 0, use the 1UP Mushroom. If their HP is low, use the items that heal HP. To gain BP, use the items that can regen BP. If you seem to be running low on items, go to the shop to buy items. All items require money to buy. You can buy them as many as you can. On the field screen, you came across a fountain with neon colors of the water. If you drink neon water on the fountain, they have a special dream, recovering HP and BP. At the end of a special dream, a "Game Over" phrase appears, but it's not really over. Don't let that get to you and deter you from beating it.

When Travelling in the Dream World:

As I mentioned before, the Dream World has some puzzles that are easy and hard to solve. When travelling there, there's a lot of magic going on throughout the world. Basically, when out of the Dream World, it's back to the real world. With that being said, it's possible to rescue all Pi'illos throughout each area. You get results for it.

The Best and the Worst:

Mario & Luigi: Dream Team is a must-play-and-enjoy RPG game. Fans would not miss out on the game. Overall, it's one of the fourth games in the series. Ever since Nintendo's hard working pays off, you do not want to miss out on. It was actually a game for everyone. If you're a big fan of the series, then chances are, there's no doubt that a high score would be given.

Pros:

+Badge combos are interesting
+Gaining a certain number of levels each earns you a rank
+Awesome gameplay experience
+Easy Mode is interesting

Cons:

-Giant Battles are frustrating

I gotta say, Dream Team is flat out awesome! It's one of the first Mario & Luigi RPG games I have ever liked on the 3DS! Sadly, the game's overall doesn't match the previous games of the series and been lacking any franchise because of the frustrating giant battles. But that does not matter because it's one of my favorite Mario & Luigi games! It was a big hit that it hits stores. That is why I'm giving Mario & Luigi: Dream Team a solid 9.0 for superb! Good job, Nintendo, you had me worried for a second!

Tales of Xillia 2 - TGS 2013 trailer

If you're a big fan of the Tales RPG game series, then chances are, you should have at least known about Tales of Xillia by now. Tales of Xillia 2 is a sequel to Tales of Xillia after the first one ends climatically. It also provides Xillia players out there with not just the deep and polished .hack//G.U.-style gameplay, but a deep and commanding storyline as well. A new protagonist named Ludger Kresnik starts his first day of work, then he came across a young girl named Elle Marta.

Here, the gameplay to Xillia 2 will have the return of Linked Artes and partnering up. In Xillia 1, the combat system has one similar thing to Redemption and has all the craziness from Rebirth and Reminisce. But in Xillia 2, the combat system has EVERYTHING from Redemption, as well as the circle gauge on the bottom right corner that can give Ludger immense power. This new feature is called an Immense Awakening. Although it's not on the .hack//G.U. series because there's no such thing. During the cutscenes and skit, the L1 and R1 button appears. Unlike the first game, when leveling up, the stats increase and it don't have the Lilium Orb. It'll feel more like Vesperia. Plus, more features are added, such as the E. Core earning, Pet menu and more. The characters from the first game are wearing different clothes as well. If you're interested in wanting the second game, then you should know that it'll release next year because here's the trailer straight from TGS 2013. (Be sure not to get tears of joy when Milla dies in the game.)

Mario & Luigi: Dream Team Rundown

Since Mario & Luigi: Dream Team is coming in my mailbox tomorrow or Saturday, here's a rundown about the latest Mario & Luigi RPG game Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, a 3DS RPG game about the Mario Bros. start a new adventure for a rescue mission for Princess Peach. Here in Dream Team, it has 2 types of worlds, the Real World and the Dream World. Here's a difference between the Real World and the Dream World.

In the Real World, Mario and Luigi enter the battle simultaneously and the field screen is in 3D. In the Dream World, Mario enters the battle alone with a minion of Luigis in his possession. This is called a Luiginary. The field screen is 2D. The enemy also has minions in its possession. As you can see, fans, the results screen has a flag pole for each one of them. It can work as an EXP gauge and the flag goes up upon gaining experience. If the flag reaches to the top, the top part of the pole lights up. It means the Mario Bros. gained a level.

Well, this concludes the rundown for Mario & Luigi: Dream Team. I'll save all the details for the upcoming review.

Project X Zone review

Many months ago, a 3DS game called Fire Emblem: Awakening have finally hit the shelves. If you're a big fan of Project X Zone, then you have came to read the most amazing review of the third entry Project X Zone!

The Gameplay:

In the beginning of the game, you'll be doing the prologues before moving on to the chapters. On the field screen, you move your units on the blue square that represents able to move on a space. If your units touches the enemy units, you're ready to battle. It's exactly like on Fire Emblem because of these features. On the battle screen, you see the moves list that depends on the direction displayed on the touch screen. Your blue gauge is the XP gauge. It allows the units to use unique powers that they possess. Its max is 150%. It can be consumed by using Skills and other actions. Next up is the backup units. They can join in the battle. You can call them by pressing the R button. They can be able to join in the fun if the yellow square is under them. If you see the X symbol with the word CROSS in the middle, it means cross damage is on.

Project X Zone has awesome Super Moves that can be used by pressing the Y button. But it requires 100% XP. Their jingles changes upon their turn on your side and they can give you goosebumps sometimes. Next up is Solo Units. Solo Units are units that can join up with a Pair Unit. On the chapter completion screen, you select a Pair Unit then you choose a Solo Unit. You can call a Solo Unit by pressing the L button.

Next up is Requirements. Requirements are needed to meet a defeat or a victory condition. To move on to the next chapter, you must meet the victory conditions with a yellow text that is marked final and important. Keep in mind that you must avoid meeting the defeat conditions, otherwise it's game over. It even gets harder than Fire Emblem, some chapters take one hour to be beaten and it's a pain. If one of your units die, you use the Rescue feature to revive your units. It requires 50% XP. On the end of each battle, you earn EXP and items. On certain levels, you learn a new skill and a new attack.

If you're not comfortable with Project X Zone, you can abort it because Project X Zone has 50 chapters. Unless you want to keep playing it until you managed to beat it. If one of the enemy units about to attack you, use the three features: Counter for 20% XP, Defend for 20% XP and Full Defend for 60% XP. You can choose to do nothing anytime. Some units have the ability to use a Multi Attack. It attacks more than 1 enemy unit at once. It requires 100% XP. Keep in mind that you must avoid the status ailments. You can cure ailments by using the skills and items that cure ailments. HP can be regenerated by using Skills and items that heal the units' HP. If you're having trouble with that issue, you can continue on that point you used Quicksave on. On certain chapters, you can talk to Solo Units by using the Y button when touching him/her. To break objects and open chests, press the Y button. Look out for certain enemy units that are capable of using Super Moves and can counter.

Project X Zone Rants and Raves:

This game would make you jump out of the window because the chapters HAD to be slightly harder than Fire Emblem and should have a difficulty setting! You do NOT wanna buy this game because it's a long and hard game to play and you have to use the quicksave feature on the issues you're having trouble with! I recommend renting this game to ensure it's a bad game!

Pros:

+Super Moves are interesting and amazing.
+Jingles from their universes are terrific.
+Using Solo Units and backup Units is awesome.

Cons:

-50 chapters is too long.
-Frustrating events as Fire Emblem.

Although, I'm not too comfortable with Project X Zone since 50 chapters is a long time and took about over a week and I've aborted it. I'm gonna give Project X Zone an 8.0 for great. If you don't feel like beating it, feel free to abort anytime.

Project X Zone on the awesomeness!

Yesterday, I've picked up Project X Zone from the mailbox and it's an awesome RPG game. On Project X Zone, I've beaten a several chapters, but I have a way to go since it's a long game by having 50 chapters. Second, Kite and BlackRose are totally awesome since they are from .hack. In my opinion, it's more fun than Fire Emblem. Later, I've planned to make a wishlist for the suggested fighting game Project X Zone: Fight of the New Millenium. It seems like they were right, some chapters taken one hour to beat and it's a real pain in the neck.

Project X Zone review coming soon

Hello, my fellow RPG fans and readers, rpgfanboy here. I'm here to specifically announce that I'm gonna write a review about Project X Zone soon because it has about 50 chapters excluding the prologues. As soon as I finished just about several chapters, I'll start working on the review.

My rant on the .hack//G.U. series

.hack//G.U. is a great game without a doubt. It's so sad that it's not sold in stores anymore. I'm really gonna miss that game because in 2006, Namco Bandai and CyberConnect2 published the series and the first volume hits the shelves, which is 7 years ago. It even came in 3 volumes.

Since it's no longer in stores, I got my high hopes in either the .hack//G.U. series being available on PSN because you can now download PS2 games on the PS3 or wanting Namco Bandai to make a .hack//G.U. HD Collection, which I been hoping for years. Since the PS4 is hitting the shelves soon, I doubt that you download PS2 games with it. I wish that it'll be a good idea by shared fans for .hack//G.U. HD Collection to be made. If not, then maybe I hope for them to be on PSN. I just don't have enough cash on my account to do so.

Project X Zone Rundown

To ease the wait for Project X Zone to come in the mail, I have a rundown associated with the best crossover, Project X Zone, a 3DS RPG crossover game where heroes from 29 different game franchises collide. Project X Zone features characters from 3 logos, Namco Bandai, SEGA and Capcom, including heroes from .hack, Street Fighter, Shining Force, Devil May Cry, Virtua Fighter, Tekken and many more. Although you may not like it, but it gets harder than Fire Emblem.

Project X Zone has Solo Attacks, awesome Cross Hits and thundering finshing moves that'll make you say "COOL!!". It even has about too many chapters and it's a very long game. To advance to the next chapter, players will meet the Victory conditions. If the Victory condition text is yellow, it means it's marked as important. Note that players will keep in mind in avoiding meeting the Defeat condition, otherwise it's game over.

There are 2 demo versions of Project X Zone. Demo A is Imperial while Demo B is Ghosts. Each of the demos of Project X Zone has 5 uses remaining. Before I conclude the rundown, here's a little summary. Project X Zone is full of action from over 50 amazing and fantastic characters. The gameplay is so keen and amazing. This concludes the Project X Zone Rundown.

How do I know about the game is I have the demo version. All that is a fact, so sit back, zip it and enjoy the awesomeness of Project X Zone.

Project X Zone is approaching!

In June 24, 2013, Project X Zone hits the stores in the west, which is a long time ago. Characters of Namco Bandai, SEGA and Capcom join forces to create the most amazing crossover RPG ever played, Project X Zone. I heard it's cool because I have the demo version on the 3DS. Overall, I rented it in full and it's the best! Monday or Tuesday, I'll enjoy playing it and write an amazing review about it!

Basically, its gameplay is even harder than Fire Emblem. Project X Zone is a great game. Fire Emblem is not my cup of tea because my units easily die. Well, a little bit. Remember the game called Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance? It's a hard game to play and it's flawed. As for Project X Zone, it may have too many chapters, but it's a fun game. I doubt that I'm able to make a cool unit.

RPG Game Room - Version 2

Hi, rpgfanboy here. I'm here to say that fans were right all along. I've been giving out opinions, so I have the good news. I decided to upgrade to the RPG Game Room - Version 2. In this version, it'll have some sharp and serious ideas and such. Here's a little disclaimer to get you started.

Disclaimer:

RPG Game Room - Version 2 doesn't have a link or a bond with Netto's Game Room and there's no uncivil behavior. No RPG fans were harmed in the making of this version.

RPG Game Room Rundown (Part 2)

It's time for part 2 of the RPG Game Room Rundown. Previously on part 1, GameSpot, GameFly and IGN's response has made a flawless one without any negatives or some sort. If you're an RPG fan, then you'll never stop playing them. Check out part 2 of the rundown. In the year 2003, Square-Enix developed RPG games, like Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Star Ocean and more. But in 2012, Square-Enix doesn't have just RPG games, it now has non-RPG games. For instance, the new Hitman is a shooter, but it's not made by Square-Enix themselves.

How Square-Enix was started was both Square and Enix combine together to take over games. This concludes the rundown about Square-Enix. Next up is Namco Bandai's Tales of series. The Tales universe is a JRPG game that is fun. Here's a little rundown about the Tales series. The Tales series contains 4 people in party. Every time the character touches the monster during field, party enters the combat. The red gauge is HP and the blue gauge is TP. TP is a gauge that is consumed using Artes. Artes are special moves consuming TP. Every time the party attacks, they earn 1 TP each. The Tales series has several types of items, like Gels, Life Bottle, Panacea Bottle and more. In Tales of Legendia, the battle system is in 2D and it contains random encounters, causing players to automatically enter battles.

After defeating the enemy party, little bit of TP is earned, EXP and Gald are earned. Max Hits and Time displayed. On most of the series, Grade is earned. But in some games, Grade can't be earned in the end of the battle. It's unlike the franchise from the .hack//G.U. series. The first Tales game was Tales of Phantasia for the SNES. Since 2011, Tales of Xillia was announced and released in Japan, celebrating Tales 15th Anniversary. This year, Xillia hits store shelves in the west a long time ago. Since Tales of Xillia was released, everyone will like it, including my anxious self. This has been the RPG Game Room Rundown that fans will love.

RPG Game Room Rundown (Part 1)

And now, I give you the rundown of RGR. This is a room featured in Capcom-Unity that is magical and big. This first part of the rundown is how RPG games work. How RPG games work is they tell the story of the protagonist. What things that RPG games have are EXP, money, items and equipment. EXP is a point that strengthens up characters. If you earn certain points, you go up a level. You earn EXP at the end of a battle. Money is needed to buy items and anything. You earn money at the end of a battle. Monsters have items with them and they can drop when defeated. It's called spoils.

On certain parts of a fiels or dungeon, a boss battle is found. If a boss is defeated, you earn a plethora of EXP and money. Some RPGs have side quests. In some RPGs, other points can be generic. If your HP reaches 0, along with the party, the game is over. Some RPGs have a random encounter system while others don't.

And this concludes part 1 of the RGR Rundown. Next set of details will be shown on part 2 of the RGR Rundown.

Star Ocean: Till the End of Time review

After Star Ocean 2 for the PS1, the trilogy in the Star Ocean series is developed. You have came to read the review of Star Ocean: Till the End of Time.

The Story:

Fayt Leingod, a young man who's with the young girl named Sophia at a spaceship. Suddenly, Sophia was gone and Fayt's on a job to find her and bring her back directly right after the violent crash landing to Vanguard III. However, there's a war going on on each country until Apris is revived. Apris is a spirit to stop wars and Fayt and Co. must bring it back to life.

The Gameplay:

On the first battle, Fayt and Sophia battle together in the battle simulator. The battle simulator is a training to know how to play the game. Let's start talking about the points. The red gauge is HP. HP consumes when you're taking damage. You can regain HP by using items capable of healing or using healing Symbology. Next is the blue gauge or MP. MP is a gauge that is consumed by using Special Attacks or Symbologies. Special Attacks are types of attacks. In order to use a Special Attack, hold down the X or the circle button to unleash and you can assign them to a slot. Symbology is a magic attack. They can't be assigned on slots, but you can use it via the battle menu. Notice the Tales series has all that features? That's how Star Ocean has features since they are directly related, but in SO3, it only has 3 people in party and 5 in reserved.

Finally the green gauge or the Fury Gauge. The Fury Gauge allows you to attack until it reaches 0. It works like the CC system (Combo Counter) from Graces and the AC system (Assault Counter) from Xillia. If the Fury gauge reaches 0, it refills almost instantly. But it won't stop you from attacking already and stopping combos, so always keep an eye on the hit combo. If you stand there with a full Fury, you'll guard and stun enemies.

Every time you level up, you earn Battle Capacity Points and Skills Points. Battle Capacity Points are types of points that limits the uses depending on the Special Attack capacity. Skills Points are points that are capable of expanding the party's HP, MP, defense and attacks. You need enough SP to reach the next level for the parameters in the Status menu. Notice the part in Tales of Xillia that every time you level up, you earn GP to spend at the Lilium Orb? It has that feature from the Star Ocean series, but completely different. However, you still earn max HP, MP, Atk. and Def.

Next up is the gauge in the middle right of the battle screen is the Bonus Battle Gauge. The Bonus Battle Gauge increases depending on the rate. If it's full, the Bonus Battle starts. There are 4 types of bonuses, such as Triple EXP, Double Fol, Increase Recovery Rate Upon Win and Boost Chance of an Item. After taking certain damage, the Bonus Battle Gauge will be broken all the way, so take good care of it or you'll fill the gauge over. Fol is money from the Star Ocean series. It's needed to buy weapons, armor, items and food.

Pros:

Awesome combat experience, Bonus Battle Gauge is very interesting, interesting battle system like the Tales series.

Cons:

The increase rate of the Bonus Battle Gauge decreases and no way to increase it.

Since it's coming to PlayStation Network soon, I'll give Star Ocean: Till the End of Time a perfect 10 for prime.

P.S.: It has a combination of Vesperia, Graces and Xillia.

Star Ocean: Till the End of Time approaching!

In September 1, 2004, Square-Enix's Star Ocean: Till the End of Time hits store shelves. Right now, it's no longer in stores anymore, and I do not doubt that it'll be on the PlayStation Network because you can download PS2 games on the PS3! As you may or may not know, Square-Enix has a rundown on RPG games while going through some hard times 9 years ago. Once the second Star Ocean game releases on the PS1, that was basically for Square to know.

Although I played it back in Indiana. I was confused what to do next, so I really should pay attention to the cutscenes to know well. I'm not too familiar when Square-Enix has a mini event. Final Fantasy X-2 has won best RPG game ever over the past 8 years. Since it's no longer in stores, I've rented in full! When Monday starts, all I have to do is to wait for the mailman to come, get out of the house, go to the mailbox, pick it up, directly head back to the house, play it and write a review about it!

Although I didn't rent the Greatest Hits edition or the Platinum edition. Square-Enix should be thankful for their responsibility. If you love JRPGs, anime or action games, then I recommend liking it.

Dragon's Crown review

If you played Ragnarok Odyssey or not, then you have came to check out this review of Dragon's Crown. Dragon's Crown is a 2D dungeon RPG runner. It plays the same as Castle Crashers and TMNT, except it has classes.

The Story:

Rumor has it that the Dragon's Crown is a vaulable crown can be worn by dragons only. It contains 9 talismans to defeat the ancient dragon. Your main objective is the Dragon's Crown. The story takes place in a town where players have a guild. You'll be living in a town.

Classes:

Dragon's Crown has 6 different classes.

Fighter: He's capable of using a sword and shield. His attacks are powerful.

Wizard: A male sorceror who is capable of using offensive magic.

Dwarf: His body is rock-solid and he can use a hammer. He's also capable of throwing enemies and objects.

Sorceress: She's capable of using magic as the Wizard class, but she uses defensive and offensive magic, too.

Elf: Her bow and arrows are compatible of targeting flying enemies. She moves swiftly.

Amazon: She wields an axe. Her strength and speed increase when defeating enemies.

The Gameplay:

At the beginning, you'll create your character and choose from the 6 classes above. You'll live in a town that has 8 various places below.

The Dragon Haven Inn: This is your home where you can save your game and create your party.

Canaan Temple: You can resurrect or bury bones you found on your adventure. If you pray, you may earn a bonus. However, resurrecting bones will cost money, so earn more. Once resurrected, you can bring your allies with you.

Morgan's Magic Item Shop: Morgan is responsible of holding her business, appraising items and fixing equipment. If appraising items, you need money to reveal from the question marks. If fixing equipment, you need money. If your equipment loses durability, it loses its performance.

Lucain's Tower: He's responsible of holding a magic business. On certain conditions, Lucain stocks Runestones. They are magical stones that can cast Rune Magic. Rune Magic can be used by memorizing ancient letters. If you want a Runestone, visit Lucain and buy it from him.

The Adventurers Guild: Samuel holds side quests. Every time you complete one, a treasure art is rewarded and a Skill Point is rewarded, just like every time you level up. They are points that learns and strengthens skills.

The Castle: You can request an audience from the princess.

Stables: It allows you to go to a specific place, but costs money.

The Gate: Start your adventure and go through it.

At the end of your adventure, you will earn money and EXP. Each area has a treasure. Depending how much gold, the treasure rank increases. Rogue Rannie opens chests and doors. He'll accompany you on your travels. Food is capable of going over your maximum HP. If your score reaches a certain point, you earn an extra life. If your HP reaches 0 and run out of lives, you need money to continue. However, if your count down reaches 0, the game's over. It's the same disaster from the classic game Smash TV.

Pros:

Using Skill Points is interesting for your skills, interesting way of defeating enemies, feels like Ragnarok Odyssey.

Cons:

Running out of money that fast is a hassle, their 2D sprites are tedious.

I'll give Dragon's Crown an 8.0. for great. Be sure to play it, everyone.
